Status Update

We’ve continued proactive patrols in the area, including stopping and searching individuals suspected of drug use or drug dealing. Information shared by the community is being actively reviewed and developed so we can target offenders more effectively. Alongside this, officers have increased engagement and meetings with local residents to help reduce tensions and support a safer, more confident community

Drug dealing and anti-social behaviour relating to drug use continues to be a priority

Status Update

Local policing officers have increased disorder patrols in relation to violence offences related to drug dealing in the area, which resulted in a number of arrests being made and suspects being released on bail pending further enquiries. They continue to work in partnership with safer communities and housing providers to target those who blight our community with legislative orders.

Status Update

From feedback from the community we are aware that drug dealing and anti-social behaviour is an issue in the Sutton area, in order to develop the intelligence around these issues officers have conducted multiple street surveys in different parts of Sutton, which has allowed them to identify hotspot areas, secure evidence to target offenders, resulting in partnership warning notices being issued to those blighting the community. Local Policing officers have devised partnership action plans ensuring situational awareness and shared ownership which saw areas targeted by fly tipping cleaned up and a reduction in fires being started in the area. In relation to drug dealing officers have conducted visits to local pubs , which led to the arrest of 3 males for possession with intent to supply.

Status Update

Local policing officers have been working under Operation Gears throughout the summer, developing intelligence and targeting those who blight our community on off-road bikes. The have conducted mobile patrol on quads, E-Bikes and utilised the specialist capabilities of police scrambler bikes and done unit to deter and obtain evidence to identify offenders. They have conducted surveys in the area to develop the intelligence of who may be responsible for causing the issues and are working in partnership to further combat this issue. Ward managers produced a partnership action plan to clean up the area, which was successfully completed.
